“We’re both on good horses, and we’re roping good. We just have to wait for it to come together.” – Dustin Egusquiza
>> Another Twenty-Four Hours <<
We haven’t placed yet. It’s easy to get to fighting your head, waiting twenty-four hours to run another one and not placing and waiting another twenty-four hours. It makes it a lot easier once you cash that first check.
Me and Dawg haven’t talked about the mental side too much. We just talked about what went wrong and how to fix it. After the first night, I didn’t feel like I did a great job. I got too much rope out. I’ve turned a few fast ones, but I don’t think I’ve done the best job to make them heelable. That’s basically what we talked about. Just get them on a shorter rope. That’s gonna be our main fix. If I can do that, we shouldn’t have a problem. We’re both on good horses, and we’re roping good. We just have to wait for it to come together.
I’m just excited to keep running them for twenty-six thousand a night. There are only a few times throughout the year, not counting this, that you can rope for that much money one steer at a time. So, it’s basically just a clean slate tonight. I’m excited to go rope against fourteen other teams for twenty-six-thousand dollars
